About Me!

Who am I?

Hi, I’m Tove, and I’m redefining what it means to live with multiple sclerosis. Together with you!

I never found a support space that felt right, so I created my own. My hope is that it will help others feel less alone than I did.

When I was first diagnosed, I desperately needed something like this. In 2020, I lost feeling on the right side of my body and ended up in the ER. A few weeks later, I got the news: MS. My only knowledge of MS was from TV shows, where it always seemed like a death sentence. I remember a scene from The Affair where the main character’s mom, who had MS, tried to take her own life but couldn’t even open a pill bottle because of her illness. I thought, “Is this what my life is going to be like?”

I tried looking for support groups online, but nothing felt right. And when I reached out for advice about treatments, the responses were so grim. It seemed like everyone had accepted the worst possible outcomes. There was also this noticeable gap in support and communication for women my age, making me feel even more isolated.

I’d been thinking about starting a community for people like me since 2020, but my health held me back until 2024.

It was time to be the change I wished to see, as the saying goes!

Why Not Just MS?

Whether you’re living with MS, know someone who is, or are just curious about the diagnosis, this is the place for you.
